Dear Homes of Hope team, we would like to begin by greeting you and thanking you for the incredible work you do in helping families find a home. I would like to share why we are in need of your support. In 2018, we were living in Lomas del Rubí, where a landslide occurred, and many homes were lost — including ours. At that time, my mother-in-law allowed us to move into one of her homes, where we stayed until about 8 months ago. Our financial situation is not good, and we haven’t been able to afford rent or to build. We are currently living in my brother’s small house — we practically only go there to sleep so as not to disturb them too much. We sincerely thank you for your time and admire the work you do.
