LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope, I would like to share a little about our story and the situation our family is currently facing. Several years ago, I was working in a home, and during that time I met the man who is now my partner. We decided to begin a life together, and later we had our two children. At first, we lived in Vista Bella, where a man allowed us to stay in a room at the same place where my partner worked. When that job ended, we had to move, and we came to Vista Horizonte, where he found another work opportunity. We lived there for approximately two years. Later, we learned about some pieces of land that could be purchased through monthly payments. My partner told me that he wanted to make the effort to purchase one, thinking especially about our children's future. When the time came to make the down payment, we had only a small amount of savings. We used practically everything we had to complete the initial payment and were left without any money, but we were able to acquire our land. Since then, we have continued making the effort to pay the monthly installments. At this time, my partner is unemployed and searching for another opportunity. As time has passed, finding work has become more difficult for him because of his age. This situation worries and discourages him because his greatest desire is to build even a small house for our children, but right now we do not have the resources to do so. I would also like to share something about one of our children. We enrolled him in kindergarten, and he was able to complete the school year. However, before beginning his second year, he became ill for an extended period, and we stopped taking him to school. Our intention is to enroll him in first grade during the next school year. It would also make me very happy if he had the opportunity to learn music and play an instrument, because I want my children to learn positive things that will contribute to their development. As a mother, my desire is not only for my children to have a house, but also for them to grow up surrounded by good opportunities and learn to become good people. That is why I come to you with faith in God, hoping that one day our land can become the little home their father so deeply wishes to build for them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for listening to our story and for considering our situation.
