LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope, we are the Gómez family. We were married in 2015, and since then, we have always dreamed of one day having a home of our own. Throughout these years, we have rented different places, and we know how difficult it is to move constantly, carrying our belongings from one place to another and seeing some of them become damaged during the moves. For this reason, we made the decision to work toward purchasing a piece of land. Along the way, we have faced many trials and difficulties, but thanks to God, we remain united and committed to the same goal of building our home. This dream is also very special to our children. They are excited about having a place of their own where they can have pets, while all of us enjoy plants and the idea of having outdoor space. When our children learned that we would have an interview with your organization, they became very excited and began praying to God for this opportunity. We currently live in an older home that has been loaned to us. Some of the wood has deteriorated, and there is significant moisture in the house, which especially concerns us because one of our children struggles with allergies. The thought of having a House of Hope fills us with excitement because it would mean providing our children with a safer and more suitable place to grow up. We have even begun planting a few trees on our land, imagining the day when we can live there and watch them grow alongside our children. For our family, those little trees represent the future we are waiting for. We dream of watching them grow beside our home while our children play with their pets and we grow vegetables and flowers in a place we can finally call our own.
