Dear Homes of Hope team, we are originally from Huixtla, Chiapas, but we have been living in Tijuana for 16 years. At first, I came alone to look for work because there are few opportunities in our home state, and after seven months I brought my wife and our son, who was two years old at the time. We rented for almost 14 years, and in 2021 we decided to purchase a piece of land, which marked the beginning of our family project. In December 2023, we moved onto our land, where we built a small wooden house, installed a septic system, and continued working little by little to establish our home. Our house is small and modest, but we are happy, and we hope to count on your support so we can now build a proper, well-constructed home for our children.
