Dear Homes of Hope team, I am a single mother who fights every day to move forward together with my three children. I am originally from Guerrero, and we came to Tijuana in 2011 after being dispossessed of our land by organized crime. I am a single mother because both of my former partners treated me very poorly; I suffered abuse and significant violence. From 2023 to 2025, I lived in the United States with my children, but we returned after my political asylum case was denied. We came back with nothing, and starting over has been very difficult. Currently, I support my family by buying secondhand items and selling them at the swap meet, so my income is unstable and varies greatly. I have been paying for my small piece of land for two years now and struggle to stay current on the payments. My greatest dream has always been to have a small home for my children, and I pray constantly to God for this blessing. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
