Dear Homes of Hope, as a family, we decided to purchase a piece of land, doing so with great effort and the hope of building our own home. However, our plans changed with the arrival of our first child, we had to set that dream aside in order to care for him. Two years later, our second child was born. We continued making payments on our land because we did not want to give up on our dream, but we began to notice that our child was developing differently—he was not gaining weight and showed little movement. After multiple doctor visits, he was diagnosed with autism. Since then, everything has been put on hold due to the costs of therapies and medications. That is why we are asking for your help, as we do not believe we can achieve having our own home on our own.
