LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope team, I am a single mother. Sadly, the father of my eldest daughter was killed when she was four years old, and we went through very difficult times. As the years passed, I met the father of my second child, and I had the hope of building a family and giving my children a home. That is why we decided to purchase a small piece of land. Everything was going well until he began using drugs. It was very painful, and I told him that if he did not seek rehabilitation, he could not continue living with us because he needed to be a good example for the children. He decided to move in with his sister, and some time later she called me to tell me that he had taken his own life. My world fell apart once again, and now I am left raising two children on my own. It is very difficult for me to pay both rent and the land. I currently live with my mother, and we share expenses. We both sell food on the street at different times; I work at night so I can be there for my children during the day. I would truly love to have a place where they can play freely, and that we can call our own, without having to pay rent. I have not lost hope that you will consider us. I have great faith and hope.
