Dear Homes of Hope team, I don’t know how to begin this letter; I feel nervous and at the same time excited about this ray of hope that has come into our family. We are people who struggle day by day, seeking to have a place where our children can sleep safely. Because of life circumstances and the current economic situation, we have not been able to have our own home. We are from Sinaloa and have rented in different places. In order to obtain our land, we sold everything we had and gathered several weeks of our wages to use as a down payment. Since then, we have had nothing left and have struggled greatly, living day to day. We do not have anyone to help us; not even the government has selected us for support. Perhaps because we appear clean and kind, they think we are not in need, not knowing that as parents we often go to work without even having eaten. You have brought a light of hope into our lives, and for that we are deeply grateful.
