LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope team, I am from a small town in Puebla, and I arrived in Tijuana five years ago with my daughters in search of a better life. My greatest desire is to continue supporting them in their studies so they can have better job opportunities than I have had. I work as a domestic worker because it is the only work I know how to do. I work from Monday to Friday and I am looking for something else to do on Saturdays because the money we earn is not enough. The father of my daughters has never taken responsibility for them; when we ask him for help, he always makes excuses and gives us nothing. Right now, I rent a house together with my siblings, and we live very crowded and uncomfortable, and of course conflicts arise often over many things. I do not want my daughters to continue living in this kind of environment. I bought the land by selling a small piece of land I had in my hometown and also by borrowing money, and now I am still paying back that loan, which is why I have not been able to build a home for my family. When I saw your organization on Facebook, my hope was renewed, and my daughters encouraged me to write to you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
