Dear Homes of Hope team, we are originally from the state of Guerrero, and we decided to come to Tijuana in search of a better quality of life. I was able to find work quickly, but it was not easy for my two daughters. After some time, both of them found partners, and my wife and I were left with the children who were still studying, which made things very difficult due to the many expenses. Later, both of my daughters had their babies and faced challenges, so they returned to live with us. Because of this, we decided to purchase a piece of land, but we have not been able to build on it yet. I work as a construction laborer, and during the rainy season work becomes very scarce, so we try to save for those times in order to cover rent and continue paying for the land.
