LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

Dear Homes of Hope, our story as a family began in July 2006, when I married the man I love and whom I believe God chose for me so that together we could build a family. Before we were married, I had been told that I probably would not be able to have children, so when we least expected it, we received news that filled our lives with joy: we were going to become parents! I still remember seeing our baby for the first time on the ultrasound and hardly being able to believe it. To us, this was a gift from God that had once seemed impossible. Our son was born in December, and from that moment we became a family of three. I deeply enjoyed every stage of his childhood and was always a very protective mother, accompanying him through kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, and now high school. When our son was four years old, we decided to move to Tijuana. We are originally from Morelia, Michoacán, but there were few job opportunities and wages were low, so we left our hometown in search of a better future for our family. During our first year in Tijuana, we lived with my mother-in-law. We were grateful to have a place to stay, but in our hearts we always carried the desire to someday have a home of our own. In 2016, God surprised us once again with the arrival of our daughter. After so many years, our family grew again. With the responsibility of raising our two children and despite the fear and uncertainty that comes with starting over, we decided to make Tijuana our permanent home. That was when we took an important step and purchased a piece of land, hoping that one day we could build our home there. The journey has not been easy, but through every season we have felt God holding our hands and never letting us go. While searching for opportunities that might help us continue pursuing this dream, we found your organization through Facebook. This renewed our hope that perhaps we may finally see the home we have dreamed of for so many years become a reality. Today, we continue moving forward with the same faith with which we began our family, trusting that God knows our dreams and His timing. Thank you for allowing us to share our story with you. May God bless every home you help build.
