LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope, I am a single mother, and my two children and I make up our small family. We are on our own because my parents have passed away and my siblings live far away in another state, so we do not have close family nearby to support us in our daily lives. I have always rented since living here. When I separated from the father of my children, I went through a very difficult period of depression. There were times when I struggled greatly, but my children became my main reason to keep moving forward and work toward building a better life for us. Through a great deal of hard work and sacrifice, I was able to acquire a piece of land of my own. This was a very important step for me because it represents the possibility of one day no longer having to rent and being able to provide my children with a stable place to live. However, I have not been able to build our home because my income is not enough to cover all of our expenses while also paying for construction. I work at a factory from Thursday through Sunday, and during the week I also care for a child to earn additional income. I do everything I can to provide for my children and continue moving forward little by little. I am deeply grateful that you accepted my application for assistance. As a mother who has worked hard to move forward on her own with her children, this opportunity means so much to me and gives me hope that we may finally have a home of our own. May God bless you today and always for the hope you bring to so many families.
