Hello! A kind greeting to you all of Homes of Hope,

My name is Karina Camacho, I would like to ask for your support in the construction of a small home. We have a small piece of land that we have been making payments on for the last 2.5 years, and we have been renting a place here in Tijuana for the last 8 years. My husband, Juan, and I are from Sinaloa. He fights everyday to keep us moving forward and motivates us that better is to come in our journey.

I can already see our life and our kids growing up on our land. We could have financial stability by not having to pay rent anymore and have our own house to call our home.

Thank you so much,

From, Karina Camacho and Juan Carlos

Letter From the Family:

To whom it may concern,

I want to first and foremost give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for the blessings that he pours out over our lives.

My small family consists of my wife Rosa Maria, my daughter Ivanna, and myself. We are a new marriage starting with nothing material. But we are currently paying for our property in El Ejido Lazaro Cardenas. Thank the Lord that he has allowed us to tart having good materials.

Our economic situation is not very stable. And as the head of the family I found myself diagnosed with anxiety and panic disorder. My income is very small as is, and with my sickness I am not able to make any more. And my wife has been looking for a job but hasn't been able to find one. So has been doing informal jobs such as, selling tamales.

We trust in God that he will open doors. He knows, more than anyone else, our needs and that is why we have come to you. To ask you all for the support of a house; a place where we can see our daughter grow and play.

Today I don't have any money for the construction of a house, but I am worried for the well being of my family. We are currently living in my parent's house so we do not have any privacy either. Thank the Lord I have had their support. They are two great examples for my spiritual life.

I know that the work you all do is very big, but we also know that through God you will be rewarded.

A cordial greeting and we hope to hear your answer soon!

The following is our actual situation:
The house in which we live is very small and very old. The roof doesn't protect us, the house doesn't have any windows and the door doesn't really work. We all live together in one room and share a bed. I don't have any privacy and my kids don't either. The kids are getting bigger and they need their own space.

I wash dishes outside because the sink doesn't fit inside, and with the rain it has been very difficult. So, this is why we ask God for an opportunity like this. We are Christians and we are baptized. We trust in the Lord, that in all situations, we put our lives in the hands of God.

Thank you and God bless,

Sandi Melissa Reyes Salais

God bless!

The motive for which I need a house is that I have 4 kids: Eduardo, Esteban, Ernesto, and Areceli. The oldest son is married. Esteban is studying in university and my brother supports him, he doesn't live with me except during vacations. Ernesto and Areceli are in high school and middle school and live with me. Since 15 years ago, I have been a single mother because of divorce. I have decided to work to be able to pull my kids forward in life and this takes a lot of effort. I don't get any kid of support from my kids' father, and because of that, it has been impossible for me to build a house. My salary goes to clothes, food, and my kids' studies.

If it would be possible to be considered for a house it would be such a blessing for my household. God bless you all... Psalms 41:1

Good day, God bless you all! My name is Icidro Camacho Santos.

This is my situation- I came to Tijuana two and a half years ago with my family. We didn't bring anything with us other than two bags of clothing and my tools. We moved into an abandoned house and we have lived here since then. In November we had the opportunity to purchase a piece of land. Honestly, my wife and I said to ourselves that we didn't think we would be able to make the land payments, but up until now we have been able to.

We would like to ask for a house because the owner of our current house has appeared and at can evict my family at any moment. My kids go to school in San Martin and I work as a mechanic, but sometimes I don't have work for up to 2 weeks. My wife doesn't work and we would love it if you could help us so that my kids would have a place to live. Thank you so much for listening to me and may God bless you. Thank you so much for helping the people who are in need.

Blessings to you all!

Since I don't work, we live off of the salary of solely my husband which is very little. It isn't enough for us to expand to be able to have a bigger house. I can't work because I have to take care of my kids and I also am taking care of my father, who is 47 years old. He is sick. I would be so thankful if you would be possible for you to offer us this support.

Thank you so much. God bless you all forever and the beautiful work that you are doing.

Letter From the Family:

To whom it may concern, hello, my name is Silvia Veronica Gutierrez Osuna, wife and mother. I have 2 kids, Stefany of 16 years and Luis of 15 years. They are both full time high school students, Stefany is in her second year and Luis is in his first year. I am 42 years old and am handicapped for life. I have been married for 18 years.

Ten years ago I worked as a cleaner. I was cleaning a men's bathroom and fell on my left knee whilst I was mopping. Government insurance didn't provide the adequate care I needed. My knee became worse and a year after my fall, they operated on my knee. They reset my leg but it didn't go well; I got an infection and lost my kneecap. I didn't receive a pension because they said I have some consequences from polio. I also have spina bifida and bladder problems. Because of my disability, I no longer have the possibility of getting a job. Sometimes to help support my family economically I make salsa, flan, cakes, or piñatas. My husband sells them with the help of my kids because I don't usually go out. The eco taxis cost a lot and I can't bring myself to spend the little that I make. My husband is the support of our house. We have just recently started moving forward.

We currently live in a room made of used wood, some pieces we bought and some were lent to us. The roof is made of wood and covered by a tarp that was lent to us. It doesn't have tar or anything that keeps the rain out and I fear that the rain will leak inside the house. When it is hot, the roof heats up a lot and I have told my husband that it causes my head to hurt a lot since I am in the house so often. I have learned to handle it because there really isn't anything else I can do. The floor is made of dirt and my husband has put down some pieces of wood as well. My couch is very old and I cant really sit on it anymore. My husband and I sleep in one bed with my son. My son used to sleep on the floor on top of some blankets, but when the weather was hot, cockroaches began to come into the house. My daughter sleeps on our old couch. She goes to my friend's house to change her clothes, because we really don't have a bathroom. My neighbor friend lets my kids and husband use her bathroom. For myself, I have a small bathroom area beside my bed. There I bathe myself and go to the bathroom. This is just what I have been using while I wait for my husband to build us a bathroom.

This is why a Home of Hope is so important for my family and I. I cannot work to support my family and husband as I would like to. Sometimes I lose hope because of our economic situation, or because the house gets really hot and only one of our two windows can open. Our situation makes me cry because of my kids and husband. I am very strong but when I am alone, I ask the Lord to strengthen me so I don't give up in front of my kids, and so that I can sow a seed of hope in them. It is very hard for me to be the way I am and see our situation and not be able to do anything. I just hope in the Lord and that He has something better for my family.

Thank you so much for your time and attention. I hope there is a someone who will partner with our situation.

-Thanks, Navarro Gutierrez Family

To whom it may concern, I want to thank you for reading this letter. I hope that you can build us a house. For my family things have been difficult. Only my husband is working because I am pregnant, but I will be giving birth any day now. Right now we are living with my mother-in-law in a small room that is in bad condition for my baby when she is born. Also, it leaks a lot when it rains and we are in a risk zone.

My  husband had been saving so we could put a down payment on our land. Praise the Lord we now have our own piece of land, we just have to go live on the land now. We have some money saved but it isn't enough to build something big. But with that we will build something so that we can fulfill your requirement of living on our land. God willing we will be some of the people selected to give us the blessing of receiving a house. It would truly help us a lot. And if we aren't selected, you all have given my husband and I a lot of will to try and build something for our babies.

P.S, Thank you so much for reading this letter. I just wanted to say God bless you all for all the happiness and blessing you give by building these houses.

From, the Rodarte Reyes

Letter From the Family:

My name is Fabiola and I have come to ask for you help because my family is in need of a better home. We have our own land but we haven't been able to afford to build anything with our costs as a family. We have been renting and make our payments each month and our land payments. The money that we make sin't enough for us to build something over our property, as what we make is just enough to cover our basic needs. We would love to live and be able to invest in something that's actually ours.

We actually had some money saved up and plans to move when we lost our child. He was only six months and was a very healthy baby until one day when everything changed. We had to borrow money and ask for loans to be able to pay his medical bills and the funeral. It was very difficult for us to loose him. We had three babies and now we are down to two. We are still paying off our loans and what we borrowed and so we haven't been able to save anything for our move. The scariest part was just after my baby left us and my other child fell ill. We thought we were going to loose him as well. He is better now, but that also cost us money that we didn't have. Any mother would agree that we have to do what is possible for our babies.

We know that with God's help we can do anything and that our family will prosper. We have been attending church and it gives us strength. Thank you for everything that you do for people, its such a huge blessing. God will bless you for everything that you do. God bless you always. Thank you.

Hello, ny name is Aracely and I am a proud mom to my four beautiful children. My oldest is sixteen and is currently in high school, His name is Richardo. My second boy is thirteen, then follows my daughter who is eleven, and my youngest who is five. We were living on a piece of land that a family was lending to us when my my daughter youngest daughter had an accident. As a result of the accident she has brain damage. She was in a coma when the owners of the property told us that we needed leave and they gave us no opportunities to look for another place to call home. I give thanks to God that he blessed us with more time with my little girl.

I asked the owner for more time but she said no, that they were going to build onto their own home. We didn't know what to do we were so desperate. We started to think about invading an empty house to start living there. We decided to look for our own land instead. My husband is a security guard and I work in the markets. All of my kids are in school and we thank God for that. During these times we found ourselves in complete desperation, we now have our own land but we don't have any money or resources to build ourselves a home.  Thank you for this opportunity that you've given us. We pray that God blesses you.
