LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope, my name is María Rosa, and my nightmare began the day my father and brother passed away. Since then, I have not known a single day of peace. I moved to Tijuana with my children in search of a better life, but my health began to deteriorate, and my son Ángel, at only 14 years old, had to start working. With effort, we managed to move forward, but I became ill again and was diagnosed with four cysts and high blood pressure. I pray to God to allow me to live long enough to see my children grow and fulfill their dreams. When my children, Ángel and Paola, began saving money, the three of us set a goal to buy a piece of land to build our own little house. I am getting older, now nearly 50 years old, and sometimes I feel my strength fading, but my children’s dreams give me the motivation to keep going. Ángel wants to finish high school and join the Navy. I ask for nothing for myself — only for my children, so that they may have a safe place from which to pursue their dreams. That is why I humbly ask for your support. Thank you very much.
