Dear Homes of Hope team, I write with my heart in my hands to humbly ask for your support in building a dignified home for my daughter and me. I married very young and had four children, but due to the abuse I suffered, I decided to separate and move to Tijuana with my youngest daughter to work and build a better future; the three older children stayed with their father. During all this time, we have been renting, but when an opportunity came up at work, I took out a loan to pay the down payment on a piece of land. Since then, I have been working double shifts to afford the monthly payments on the land, the rent, and our daily expenses.
