Dear Homes of Hope team, may God always bless you abundantly. We thank God for your lives and for considering our family for this second step. Our greatest dream began with the first payment on our land more than ten years ago, filled with love and the determination to move forward. However, due to financial struggles, illnesses, and significant losses, our plans were delayed. We have now spent over sixteen years renting without being able to build our home, and it becomes increasingly difficult financially, as we’ve had to take out loans to cover surgeries and medications. My youngest daughter came as a surprise when I was 42 years old, at a time when I was in deep depression—she came as a gift from God and brought joy back into our lives. I didn’t know I was pregnant until I was five and a half months along, as I was losing weight instead of gaining it. She was born prematurely, weighing just 1.1 kilograms, and spent over a month in intensive care. At six months old, she was referred to the CRIT in Baja California because we noticed one side of her body wasn’t responding properly. These past three years have required my full attention and care, which is why I haven’t been able to work. This situation also affected our marriage—my husband decided to move out, but he continues to support us financially and maintains good communication, visiting our children almost every day. I am currently taking a baking course to be able to work from home and care for my daughter. For all these reasons, I humbly ask for your help in building us a home. Near our land, there is a kindergarten that allows me to take my daughter, which would give me the opportunity to bake cakes and cookies to sell. I have no formal education, and due to my age, finding employment is difficult.
