Dear Homes of Hope team, first of all, I want to thank you for considering us. We would love to have a home of our own. Six years ago, we arrived from Sonora and began renting. Unfortunately, rent prices keep going up and landlords are becoming more demanding. I would love to have our own house so my family can live peacefully, without the fear of being asked to leave from one day to the next or having a landlord impose new rules. That’s why we decided to buy a small piece of land so we wouldn’t have to rent anymore. My daughter received a scholarship for high school, and we used that money to begin digging and laying the foundation — but that’s as far as we got. A few days later, we went back and saw everything had been stolen! It was a huge frustration. When we saw your page on Facebook, we started dreaming again. We hope it becomes a reality. Thank you!
