Dear Homes of Hope team, we respectfully reach out to you with hope for support in obtaining a new home. We are a low-income family in a vulnerable situation, as our current shelter is not safe. We deeply desire to provide something stable for our family, because we understand that a home is more than just a roof. We learned about your organization and how you help families like ours achieve the dream of having a safe place to live. We have owned our land for some time, but we have not been able to build due to financial limitations. Our children are in middle school and high school, which brings significant educational expenses, in addition to household costs and land payments, and only my husband is currently working. I stay home to care for our children; I used to bake bread to contribute, but I injured my arm and have not been able to continue. At this time, we have been working on cleaning our land, hoping one day to build a home where we can live without worrying about leaks or the burden of monthly rent.
