Dear Homes of Hope, we moved from Veracruz to Tijuana. I arrived with my two daughters, and at first we stayed at my parents’ home. It was nice at the beginning, but little by little we started to feel like a burden. I prayed to God to give me another opportunity in life, to be happy. I found a job and was able to provide food and clothing for my daughters. I have always had the desire to have a place of our own where my daughters can feel safe, protected, and have their own space. One day I ran into Jacinto, someone I knew from back home, and after talking we decided to start seeing each other. He was very kind to my daughters, and after a few months we decided to live together. We began to slowly acquire things like a stove, always keeping our faith. Then the opportunity came to buy a piece of land, and later I saw a story about you, about how you build homes. I was overwhelmed with joy. Thank you for considering us.
