LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

Dear Homes of Hope team, we are originally from the state of Guerrero, but we moved to Tijuana, where our daughter was born. At that time, we were living in a borrowed house, and I was working in a factory, but our income was barely enough to cover diapers, milk, and basic household expenses. Because of this, I decided to switch to working in construction. Unfortunately, we had a misunderstanding with the homeowners, so we had to leave and began moving from one rental to another. We grew tired of constantly relocating, and our belongings were often damaged, so we decided to purchase a piece of land to finally have some stability. We began buying second-hand wood to build small rooms, but we became ill, and all our savings were spent on medical expenses. We were only able to build one small room, which is where we currently live; we have just one bed where my wife and daughter sleep, and I use a mat on the floor. Due to all the moving, our daughter now attends an open school on weekends because we did not have a stable place to enroll her. Despite everything, we continue to serve in our church—my daughter is part of the tambourine ministry, and we are trying to afford her uniform. In this way, we support the work of sharing God’s Word, and He has sustained us until now.
