LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope team, it is a pleasure to greet you. We were both born in Tijuana, and in 2016 I met my husband and we began our relationship when we were 15 and 17 years old. Shortly after, my parents had differences and decided to separate. My mother later entered into another relationship with someone I never got along with, and he eventually forced me to leave the house. My father is not a bad person, but he struggles with alcoholism and is not stable. My boyfriend spoke with his family, and they gave me the opportunity to live with them, even though the space was very small. After three months, we were lent a house, but everything was far away, and we went through many hardships while I was still studying. Little by little, we were able to acquire some basic things, and eventually the owner of the house began charging us rent, which we continue to pay to this day. We also had the opportunity to purchase a piece of land, which we are paying for together. With the arrival of our daughter Allison, we became stronger—she is the light that was missing in our lives. That is why we are asking for a home, so she can have her own space, a place where she can grow up and cherish many memories. We also want to thank you for the great blessings and efforts you make every day for families like ours.
