Dear Homes of Hope team, through these lines, I would like to share that I live in a common-law relationship with María Susana, and we have been together for 26 years. I am from Veracruz and she is from Chiapas, we met here in Tijuana, to where we both moved looking for a better life. We were renting rooms in the same property, we started with a good friendship and little by little, getting to know each other decided to live together. She was living there with her 4 little kids. In 2007 thru an organization we were able to dream on having a piece of land. Our dream came true in 2009 and praise God, to this day it is fully paid. Sadly, I have developed a permanent hearing disability, which prevents me from working in a formal job. The house where we currently live is in very poor condition, as it is made of old wood and we have not been able to repair it; any help you could provide would be a great blessing. María previously worked in a factory but was laid off due to staff cuts. A neighbor later told her about a job at YWAM, and she started working there, but it is very far from our home, and getting there is difficult since she does not have a car and has to rely on rides every day to make it to work.
