LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

Dear Homes of Hope team, I came to live in Tijuana at my grandparents’ house while I worked and studied, but when they returned to their hometown, my sister and I had to find a place to live. We managed to rent a small room, and I always held onto the dream of having something of my own, something secure. Over time, I met the father of my children, and at first everything was good; our son was born, but when he was two years old, I discovered that while I was taking care of our baby, he was seeing another woman. I started working so I would not depend on him financially. I was two months pregnant when he told me he no longer wanted anything with me and forced me out of the house along with our child. I was left on the street with two children to raise. My sister helped me by giving me a place to stay for seven years, although living together was not always easy. I was able to save enough to make a down payment on a piece of land, and now I live in an apartment that is not in good condition, but I am grateful to have a job that allows me to continue paying for my land. I believe God placed you in my path, as He knows what my family needs. This has been a dream of mine for many years. Thank you for listening to me and for your support.
