LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope team, We are from a very small town in Guerrero, where life is very difficult. There are no jobs or hospitals, and we suffer from water shortages. We worked in the fields and had to wait for the rainy season in order to plant crops and have something to eat, often trading corn for eggs, beans, and sometimes meat. Once our baby was born, life became even more difficult because the hospital was very far away, and it was hard for us to afford clothes and food for the baby, so the idea of migrating came up. Some friends told us that Tijuana was a place full of opportunities and jobs, so I came first, leaving my wife and baby behind. I started working in a factory, and thank God, after three months I was able to bring my wife and baby to live with me. We have gone through many ups and downs. Later, I changed jobs and began working in construction, and through a lot of effort we managed to save enough to buy a piece of land so we would no longer have to pay rent. That is why we would be deeply grateful if you could help us make our little house into a beautiful home for our family.
