LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope team, we have three children, and our youngest son has autism, blindness, and a mild intellectual disability. My first two children have the same father, and my youngest has a different father, but neither of them has taken responsibility for their children. The father of my first two children is currently homeless due to drug addiction, and with the father of my youngest son, it has been very difficult to receive child support. We went through mediation and reached an agreement, but he has not fulfilled it. I want to take legal action, but they require that my son be enrolled in school. Because of his condition, I am afraid and have not yet been able to enroll him, as he is still on a waiting list. I do not work because I have no one who can care for him, since he requires special attention and constant care. I met my current partner at a job, and through that work we were connected with a lawyer who helped us try to purchase a piece of land. Sadly, after four years, it turned out to be a fraud. We are currently in a legal process to obtain the property documents. In the meantime, we live with my parents, but there are 22 family members living in the same home, and everything easily becomes a conflict because there are too many people sharing one small space. That is why we would deeply appreciate any help you may be able to provide.
