LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:
Dear Homes of Hope, I come to you with the deepest respect and with a heart full of faith. Our family consists of four people: my wife, our two children, and me. Our children are currently in elementary school, and as a father, one of my greatest desires is to provide them with security, well-being, and a suitable place where they can grow. We are currently facing financial and housing circumstances that are very difficult to overcome on our own. All four of us live together in one small room, and the limited space affects our quality of life and our daily activities. In addition, a significant portion of our monthly income goes toward payments on the land we are purchasing, making it very difficult for us to save enough to begin construction. I work as a security guard on the night shift from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. It is twelve continuous hours of demanding work, and this schedule also affects our family life. When I return home in the morning after a long shift, I need to sleep and recover, while my daughters are at home doing their homework because they attend school in the afternoon. Something that deeply touches me is seeing how they have learned to speak quietly and play in silence so they will not wake me. Because of their love for me, they hold back their energy and try to make as little noise as possible so I can rest. As a father, I wish they did not have to limit themselves this way and could fully enjoy their childhood in a home of their own. This is why, for us, a house would mean so much more than four walls. For my daughters, it would mean having a place where they can play, study, and express themselves freely, while also giving them greater stability and peace. For my wife and me, it would mean the peace of knowing that we have provided our children with a decent roof over their heads and something of their own for the future. Building our home would be a light at the end of the tunnel and a new opportunity for our family. My greatest hope is to come home after a night of work and know that my daughters no longer have to remain quiet for my sake because, at last, each of us will have the space we need to rest, study, play, and live in peace.
