That is why we haven't been able to improve where we live. We've been waiting to hear back from the Homes of Hope team and we've been praying to be accepted.

Thank you so much for choosing our family and for blessing us with a better life, especially for my children. Thanks so much.

God Bless.

Letter from the Family:

Hello, I'd like to introduce myself to all of you, my name is Martha.

We are a family of four and all of us have been sleeping in the same bed. We have wanted to add another room onto the room that we live in but haven't been able to gather enough resources to make it. To be very honest its been hard for us to pay for food, our land and my kids schooling.

Kids at school have bullied my daughter a lot because of the conditions that we live in; many tell her that only rats can live where we do and it makes me feel like a bad parent since I am not able to provide for my kids like I'd like to.

It means a lot to us that all of you have decided to come and help our family move forward. With all of my heart I thank you. I feel like this is truly a gift from God because a house is such a tremendous blessing.

I send you all my greetings and I look forward to meeting all you wonderful people.

God Bless.

I'm writing to give you  a bit of insight into our life and why we've asked for your help. I'm a single mom and  live with my two kids Kevin and Emily. We've been living in a trailer for a few years on our land. The trailer isn't ours, the owners only lent it to us for a while but they're selling it now.

My kids and I don't have anywhere else to go. I work as a waitress so I don't always have a constant income to take care of my kids. I work and do what I can to keep going and show them they're loved.

I'm also writing this letter to thank you all for helping others, I think it's beautiful that you're coming to help others live better lives. With this house my son will be able to continue studying in school and we will live with a bigger hope, that God does provide for us.

God bless.

Hello my name is Maria del Carmen Garcia Cervantes.

My wish is a better home for my kids. We don't have the resources to make something bigger than where we are living. Right now my husband, six kids, and I are all living in one room that we built. My oldest daughter is mentally disabled and cannot speak, and a few years ago she had a few surgeries on her stomach. She is supposed to have a very specific diet to stay healthy but because of our lack of finances we give her whatever we can when we have food.

It's a dream come true that you're coming to build us a better life for our family. We've kept up with our payments and we're a happy family but we truly need this house. The eight of us live in one room and when it rains all the water comes in and we don't have a floor, it's just dirt.

God bless you all. This is truly a huge blessing for our family. We truly need it.

Letter from the Family:

Hello,

I'm Jose. My neighbor told me about Homes of Hope and that there were people that helped families that are in conditions like ours. We were renting a small place but weren't able to afford it so we moved in with my father. I built my wife, son, and I a room so that we could still be apart from my father.

I've been working hard for my family, I drive around in my truck buying and selling scrap metal. What I was making wasn't enough for my family so we sold our car. We are doing everything possible to give our son a good life. As a father, I'm extremely thankful for your help. In reality, I can't give to my family what I would like to. Thank you very much.

I'm writing you this letter to let you know that we're very thankful that you've decided to help other families and to help our family. We don't have many resources because our pay is very low.

We have enough to buy food and the bare basics, but right now my kids are going to school and it's been hard to pay their way on top of our home payments. We're currently living in a small trailer, there's not that much space so I built something to help my wife cook outside. This is why we've asked for your help, and why we're so grateful in advance for your help.

Hello,

My husband works in a factory and makes minimum wage, before he worked in the factory he had his own business selling candy and snack food. He started working in the factory because he was earning very little, and during that time I lost my baby girl. I haven't been able to completely recover from the loss.

I work selling secondhand clothes in the markets four days a week to help my husband. My son is sick and is in treatment. With what my husband and I earn, and with the costs of our land and my son's treatments, we don't have enough to make a good home for ourselves. We're very grateful that you've chosen us. Thank you for improving our lives.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to write this letter. For the sake of my three kids, Leslie, Jesi, Evelin, and my husband, Polo, I write to you all. We're a family with little resources, we live in a small trailer and we pay $70 for it.

We've been living here because we can't afford to move to a bigger place, the trailer has one bed, a hallway, and the kitchen area. My kids don't have their own space to change clothes, sleep, or do homework comfortably. We've asked for your help so that our kids can develop in their studies, to continue in school and have a better life.

Thank you for choosing our family and giving us this opportunity. God bless.
