Thank you for giving us the chance to share our situation with you; why we have the need for a home. We are from southern Mexico, the state of Veracruz. Due to lack of opportunity and work there, we decided to come to Rosarito. We want to be able to give a better life to our son. Since arriving, we have barely been able to keep up with the cost of rent and everything continues to get more expensive. We got a piece of land a couple months back with the intention of building a place of our own. It’s been very difficult to keep up with all our payments and currently my wife is unable to work so that she can take care of our baby. My wife is a volunteer at a Christian community center right and I work at a factory. Thank you for listening to our story, many blessings to all of you. We trust God to take care of our family and our dreams.

I use to be a single mom and I just wanted to give my daughter a nice life. When I moved here, I came with my dad. At first everything was okay but then one day he asked me to leave his house. I had no where to go until a friend offered me temporary housing with her. Eventually, I also met my partner and we got a piece of land together. We have been saving up and buying building supplies as we are able. We have a bathroom finally and electricity, too. It has been hard work and we have struggled so much. All we have is a small room, we don’t really fit there. I found out that I am pregnant. We want a better place for our children to live but we don’t have the resources to do so. I pray God will send us help, we won’t waste the blessing. We will take very good care of the home. I can even use the home for my work; making pinatas. Thanks for your time, blessings.

We decided to buy a piece of land instead and build there but to do so, we had to sell our car. We put a down payment on our land and have bought a few building supplies to start build a temporary structure there. While everything was unready, we had to have our children live with their grandmother. We have finished doing what we are able to on our own, but it’s not sufficient. I’m asking for your help to build us a dignified place where our family can live. Our current structure will not last in the elements much longer. May God bless you in all that you do! Thank you!

I am asking for help on behalf of my family that is made up of my daughter Raquel Esmeralda Lopez Vazquez who is two years old and my husband José Guadalupe Israel Lopez Olivares who is 37 years old to receive the blessing from God through the hands of Homes of Hope to have a home. The house that we’ve made with much sacrifice and work has many air leaks and when it rains leaks water as well. In the area where we have the bed and where we sleep, we get wet when it rains. Also in the second entrance of the house and in the bathroom there are leaks because our economic situation is difficult, and that is all that we have been able to build. My husband is not able to work in a factory on his feet because he is disabled since birth and the way that we earn a living is doing repairs on washing machines, refrigerators, and dryers. As in every job there are good days and bad days and it is for that reason that we are asking for help from Homes of Hope to receive the support of a house that we are so in need of. It gives us hope to receive the favor of God through the hands of Homes of Hope. With that being all, we thank you for your attention,

I’m no longer with my husband as our relationship turned physically, verbally, and mentally abusive. I had enough one day and left him to have a fresh start. In the beginning, everything was going okay. Over time my parents started to tell me that I needed to find a new place to live and I had no idea what to do. I understood that day that I was on my own, no support from anyone, and that I needed to find my way. I took a chance and started a barber shop course in Tijuana. Now, I use a small spot inside of my house to cut hair so that I never have to be without my kids. It’s going okay right now, praise God. I am trying my hardest! I was able to save money up to put a down payment on a piece of land and now I make a land payment there every month. I’m trying my hardest but it’s been very challenging. If you could help me with a home, I would be the happiest woman in the world.

Salary Weekly: $ 75 USD

Mother: Maria

Age: 27 years old

Salary Weekly: $ 30 USD

CHILDREN

Name: Kellan - Age: 3 years old.

Letter from the family:

We would love to qualify for a home of hope as where we are currently living is lent to us by my in-laws. Previously we rented a home but because of COVID-19 my husband stopped working as selling was very dangerous, along with a lack of tourism, and with problems with work. Because of this we were unable to cover the cost of monthly rent. My in-laws decided to lend us a small space where they had stored their tools. In that way we’ve been able to save the money we would have put towards rent and decided that it would be better to purchase a piece of land for our children’s future. The space that we have to live is small as it is 2 x 5 meters and we have only what is necessary inside. We have a three-year-old son and I am 24 weeks pregnant. My son, my husband and I, because of how small the space is, sleep in the same bed. It is because of this that we would like to have a little bit more space for the kids where they can run, play, and have enough space to sleep.

To earn a living my husband works many hours all day selling items on the beach as well as myself who helps by selling Jell-O near our home. Now because of my pregnancy I work only a few hours, but my husband helps me taking the Jell-O’s to sell them. It is difficult for me to walk for many hours because my legs swell up.

The payments for our land are difficult and heavy for us as they are so high monthly, but we are up to date on them and we are content because we know that it is for a better future for our children. It is because of this that we put in the effort every day to keep moving forward. We’ve been very motivated by our parents on both sides as they have helped us with the main part of the down payment for our land and we are also very thankful to them. It’s because of this that our way of thanking them is working every day to continue paying off the monthly payments on our land. My small family and I would be very happy to be able to qualify for a home of hope. We thank you so much that you are giving us the opportunity to share a little bit about our life and for your valuable time that you took in reading this.

To who it may concern, I would like to ask for the construction of a home of hope for my family. On the land that we just recently acquired a few months ago, we have a house with walls made of recycled wood and it is in poor condition. Water enters the home from the bottom and through the roof. I have three children and they are often sick because of the humidity in my home. It would be a huge blessing for my family if you would construct our home as we would no longer spend months cold and sick because of the humidity in the house. Where my property is located I have been living here for 11 years but just a few months ago I was able to acquire a property for my family and pay it in payments. This is something that I have asked God for often to have a property and a dignified home for my children. I thank you so much for your time and your support as it is a great blessing to be able to count on your support. Blessings for all of you who make it possible to bless so many families.
