Letter From the Family:

Hello,

My name is Angelica and we’re a family of four. My husband recently left me for another woman, so I live with my three daughters. I have twin girls that are 11 years old and one daughter who’s 8 years old. We’ve been on our land since February 2014. We've worked hard to raise the house that we’re living in now. The house is one room and we don’t fit very comfortably. My bed and my daughter’s bed are separated by some pieces of furniture.

My youngest daughter used to sleep on an inflatable matress on the floor because we didn’t have the money or space to get her a bed. But now that my husband is gone, she sleeps by my side.

My husband used to bring in most of the money, now I work on the weekends, making about $30. It’s not enough to sustain my family but I do what I can so that my girls can eat. I recently applied for a job in a restaurant. I’m praying that they hire me because I truly don’t know what else to do for my beautiful girls.

I am a single mom and I work from Monday to Saturday in a factory; from 3 in the afternoon to midnight.

Every time it rains we get wet and so do all of our things. We live in a house of one room made of wood ceiling, wood walls and a dirt floor. I do what I can for my family, but we are truly in need of your help.

Thank you.

Letter From the Family:

This is why we are  in need of YWAM’s help;

We are living with my husband’s parents. We share practically everything. For example our beds; some of us are sleeping on the couches. The truth is that our space is very small. We have used almost all of our income  to get a piece of land so we haven’t been able to start construction. Our monthly income goes out to things like the land, electricity, water bill, or the cost of diapers, etc.. The truth is that this money doesn’t cover all our needs.

If we are selected for a Homes of Hope it would be a huge help because we want to have our own space to have our own things. To have a house where we can raise my children and have our own home.

Thank you for your understanding and support

Letter From the Family:

I lived with my mother for many years and that was very uncomfortable. When we saw the opportunity to purchase our own property we took it and built a little room made of wood. It’s only dirt floor but we were able to have our own space.

But I don’t have the money to build more or improve what we have, and one of my children, Alejandro has a problem with his lungs and where we live, it rains all the time.

He can handle it for a bit, but then I need to send him to stay with my mother for a few days because he gets really bad. The house will help protect us from the rain, wind, cold and insects. Just thinking about the house gets me really excited.

Thanks.

Letter From the Family:

My name is Eli Sarai and my husband is named Cipriano

We have 2 children. My daughter is named Elijireh and my son is named Eliezer. We are pastors of a church and don’t have a stable income. The reason that we need this house is because we have been renting a house for two years. But in March of 2014 there was a couple that offered us some land out of the goodness of their hearts, we had to pay them an amount each week apart from a little bit each month. (We thought that it was just for a little time to get the land.) So we accepted the deal. My husband decided to get a job during the week to be able to pay the payments. But after some time, they were making it very difficult for us.

So we decided to as ask God for direction; that he would help us leave the situation without causing bad feelings. It was the people that told us that it wasn’t going very well for them and that it was better for them to give back the money and return their land again. So we understood that this was God’s answer to get our own land in our own name. We didn’t have the amount to get our own land and they sent us a part of the amount that we had paid. Now we are only paying our land and watching their house. They arrive in June. This letter is to ask you for your support. I know that my God provides, and God will use your lives to provide for us (Philippians 4:19)

If God uses your lives to bless us, I know God will bless you in return.

Dear Homes of Hope

Our family would like to ask you for your help with a home, so we can have a better life.  The one we have right now doesn’t have roof sheets around the house we have rags and tarps to protect us from the cold. When the wind is strong a lot of dust comes inside. The roof is made out of pieces of carpet and tarps so when it rains water leaks inside, and all our stuff gets wet. Our house doesn’t have a cement floor its made out of dirt, and due to this our kids get bitten by insects.

I am asking for your help, we don’t have the resources to fix our home, it will mean a lot to us if you could help us.

God bless

I'm a stay at home mom, I have 3 kids and my husband, and I am asking for a home for me to have the blessing of owning a beautiful and warm home because that will mean that my children will be protected, out of the cold and a roof over their heads, because in our current house the cold gets in throw the roof, water leaks throw the roof, and we are a family with a low income.

My husband is the only one who works because I am sick ( umbilical hernia). due to the lack of money I have not been able to operate it. Sometimes we have days that we don’t have anything to eat, dress or even wear in our feet but we trust God, that we will be able to move forward. This is why I've come to ask for a house.

My husband Roberto our daughters Marisol, Patricia, and I all live in this room. My husband Roberto works as a helper in a tire shop. He can't get a better job where he can make more money, because he is sick and has epilepsy attacks. Letter from the Family:

The desire of my family is to express our actual situation and why we need a house from YWAM. Last September we were blessed with the arrival of our little daughter Lia. In our family the father is the only one who works and is the only provider. Our son William had two surgeries in October and it cost around 800 dollars, but they lowered the cost because of my income status. They detected a heart murmur. It was a medical emergency because of my son’s age. But thanks to God he is doing well now.

It was a hard situation, because it came out of nowhere and we have to pay rent and all the costs for having a baby. The rent is 1,500 pesos and the payment of our terrain was 1,500 pesos. William also was transferred to other specialists. Thanks to God our son is recovering very well and that gives us parents peace of mind.

But economically the truth is that the rent isn’t an option any more. The truth is that we returned in debt and we bought a little trailer. It is very small but we started a new home as a family. This little trailer has lots of holes and the wind is entering. We have a five month old baby, which increases the risk of her getting sick.

We really need your help, because we have to pay back the people who lent us money. This will take a long time. This is why we are asking for your help, and God’s blessing upon our family. We will be so thankful to you, and foremost to God.

Letter from the Family:

It would make my family and I very happy to qualify for the blessing of receiving a Homes of Hope house. We just were able to get land to live on. We saved little by little to be able to pay the down payment of the land. My husband doesn’t have a stable job but thanks be to God, he is a hard worker. Where we are living right now people are letting us borrow this space, but the house is on land that is considered "high risk." A small canyon passes through the middle of the property and the house is in front of a creek.

When it rains I have to leave the house, taking my kids with me which makes me very sad. Sometimes it’s the middle of the night when it happens. The canyon by the house is crossed by a bridge. I am always afraid that the rain will wash out the bridge and that my kids and I will be stuck inside the house without a way to escape.

It worries me because my children are young. The canyon is also very dangerous because people always throw their dirty, used water into it which attracts many mosquitos and mice. The room where we sleep has a very thin floor that the mice always make holes in and I am worried that when the mice come in, they will bite us and give my children some kind of illness.

We stay here because we have no where else to go and we don’t have money to buy walls and make something out of it. Thank you for letting us write to you about our current situation. Thank you for listening to us. And thank you to the YWAM team. May God bless you and take care of you always.

For these reasons I am asking for your help to build a home for my family. Right now we are renting and I want my daughters to grow up in their own home. We haven’t been able to build because of a lack of money. We have only been able to pay for the land and the rent. We have made many sacrifices for the few things that we have. My girl Litzy can’t play comfortably because there isn’t enough room.

What we would like to have is a stable place where we can live. This is why we are asking for your favor for a house. If we are chosen we would be so happy. Sometimes we get sad and ask God to give us strength to keep going. We ask that he sends us the blessing to be able to have our house. And now that we have asked for this blessing, we are happy and sure that we will have a house.

We ask you with all our heart that you would grant us your help to have a house. This would be the best thing that would have happened to our family. We believe in God and we have faith that it will be so. Farewell and I hope you are doing well. We hope to see you soon. God bless.
