LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

My most difficult experience began when I left my hometown and went through very hard times with my partner. One of the most painful moments was when my partner’s mother asked us to leave her house, leaving us with nowhere to live. Currently, we are renting a place that is very expensive for us and also very small; we sleep in crowded and uncomfortable conditions. With great faith, we ask God to grant us this opportunity — the dream of having a home of our own. We sincerely appreciate any support you may be able to provide. Thank you very much.

Salary weekly: $170 US

CHILDREN:

Dante - 8years old

LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

Dear Homes of Hope team, I find myself in the unfortunate position of having to reach out to you, as my current situation is quite difficult. In December 2023, I separated from my partner, and since then, I have faced many challenges. My former partner threw me out of the house with nothing. The place where we used to live was lent to us, and the owners asked me to vacate it. My mother, with great effort, sent me money to build a small room on a plot of land I am paying for. At first, things weren’t so hard because my former partner’s older children were living with me and helping out, but they have now gone on to start their own families. Now, I am alone with my young children. I do not receive any government assistance. I only have my salary and some income from catalog sales. I am truly grateful for this opportunity. May God bless you always.

LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

Dear Homes of Hope team, in March 2024, an acquaintance of Jonathan told us about land for sale in Rancho San Martín. In April 2024, we financed a purchase contract with the hope of starting to build our home. However, we did not anticipate that Jonathan would lose his job. Since then, we have been selling used clothing and secondhand items to support ourselves. Although it has been a difficult time, we have managed to continue paying for the land, along with our daily expenses for food and basic needs. In August 2024, our baby was born. We are currently sharing a house with some acquaintances of Jonathan. We ask God that you may be able to help us. If you do, it would be an answered prayer — one we have been lifting up for a long time. May God bless you.

Dear friends from Homes of Hope, I write to you with humility and deep respect to kindly request your support. We are a low-income family. I have two young children, and my wife is about to give birth to our third baby. Unfortunately, it has been very difficult for me to provide them with a dignified home. My parents are ill and fully depend on me, which has made our situation even more challenging. I work as a bricklayer, but my earnings are barely enough to cover food expenses and the payments for our land. Several times, in order to make those payments, we have gone without food. With hope in my heart, I turn to you in search of help. Thank you in advance for your attention and understanding.

I work as a mason assistant and I am the sole provider for our family. Our eldest son attends private behavioral and speech therapy once a week. Additionally, we are aware that our youngest daughter requires specific care, although we have not yet received a diagnosis due to her young age. For this reason, my wife does not work and stays at home to care for our children. We are currently living in a storage building that my family is lending us. Your support would have a great impact on our lives and would help us obtain a suitable space where our children can grow and thrive. We sincerely appreciate your attention and consideration for our family.

With great effort and our limited resources, we managed to build a 4x5 room. We are a family of three—my partner, our 12-year-old son, and myself. Due to our financial situation, we were only able to purchase the land and build this room in order to stop paying rent. This small construction is our only asset. At present, the roof is made of tarps and we do not have windows, but we have been living and sleeping there for the past 18 months. We wish to continue building a safer and more dignified home, but it has not been easy. We are deeply grateful for any support you may be able to offer us.

I have lived in Tijuana for five years; I moved here because there was no work in my hometown, and the situation became even harder after a hurricane destroyed my house. Currently, I work as a taxi driver and my wife sells tamales, but what we earn is not enough. We do not have much education, which limits our ability to find better jobs that could help us build a home or even a small room. A neighbor told us about you, and that is why we are requesting your support. If we are selected, it would be a great blessing and a true joy for our family. Thank you very much.

My income is not enough to cover daily expenses, pay for the land, and save to improve our living conditions—especially for the well-being of our daughters. LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

Dear Homes of Hope team, with deep respect and humility, we write to share our need and our hope. The reason we are requesting your support is our heartfelt desire to have a home of our own. Due to financial hardship, we have not yet been able to achieve this goal, but with great effort and sacrifice, we have been gradually paying off a piece of land. Our greatest challenge right now is that we take our son to a special support school called Carita de Dios. We are doing everything we can to provide him with the best possible education so that he may have a better life than ours. This has been a significant emotional and financial responsibility for our family. We continue to hold on to the hope that you may help make this dream a reality, especially since we have recently faced difficult times. My father suffered an accident, which has brought about unexpected expenses, but we thank God he is slowly recovering. From the bottom of our hearts, we kindly ask you to consider granting us this tremendous blessing. My family and I would be forever grateful. And even if it is not possible, we sincerely thank you for taking the time to listen to our request. May God bless you abundantly.

Age: 34 years old

Job: Carpenter

Salary weekly: $225 US

CHILDREN:

Karla - 9 years old

Eva - 7 years old

Damaris - 6 years old

LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

Dear Homes of Hope team, May God bless you abundantly. We are a family of five. When we joined in marriage, we made a commitment to build a united, solid, and steadfast family, no matter the circumstances — in both good and difficult times. Every day, we strive to move forward and offer our daughters a stable home and a better quality of life than what we, as mother and father, experienced. My husband comes from an indigenous background with very limited resources. He has endured hunger and sleepless nights, always with the goal of providing a better future for his wife and daughters. However, he still does not have a steady job, which has made it hard for us to reach our goals. Despite many trials, we continue to glorify our Lord. He has never let us go without our daily bread and has preserved our health. We migrated from Mexico City and initially had to rent a home, which became a heavy financial burden. One of our daughters has an intellectual disability and needs rehabilitation therapy, but it is difficult to afford because of inconsistent work. Additionally, we face immigration issues — my wife is from El Salvador and we have not yet been able to regularize her stay in Mexico. She devotes herself fully to caring for our children and taking them to school. We are currently staying in the home of Christian brothers who kindly offered us temporary shelter, allowing us to save and continue paying for our plot of land. Therefore, I humbly ask for your prayers and appeal to our Lord Jesus to bless us through the Casas de Esperanza project, so our daughters can have their own private and dignified space. They are our strength and our motivation. Trusting in Christ, I thank you.

Dear Homes of Hope team, we write to you to express our deep need for housing and to thank you sincerely for opening your doors to us. We believe God is good—He has brought us this far, and we trust we will be blessed with the opportunity to have a home. We are the parents of a pair of twins, and we dream of giving them a safe and beautiful place to call home. While we do not have the means to build, we have managed to purchase a piece of land. Paying for it each month requires great sacrifice, but the effort is worth it to us. At the moment, we rent a very small room, which is no longer adequate for our family. Renting a larger space is simply beyond our financial reach. Still, we hold onto our faith and hope that kind-hearted people like you, who bring happiness to so many families, might choose us. With heartfelt thanks and blessings,

LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

Hello, I am a single mother. I have a 14-year-old son and a 22-year-old nephew who has been in my care since he was 9 years old, after losing both of his parents. His mother, who was my sister, entrusted him to me before she passed away. He is now in college and works three days a week, while my son is in middle school. We moved to this piece of land to stop paying rent. When we arrived, we had two small rooms, but they were very cold and water would leak in when it rained. One of my sisters kindly lent us a trailer, which we have been living in for the past year. However, it is small and uncomfortable, and we struggle with limited space. Although money is tight, I am determined to move forward so that both of them can finish their studies, become someone in life, and that we can live in a better and more dignified home. I am truly grateful for your kind and blessed help.

MOTHER: Evelin

Paula - 2 years old

LETTER FROM THE FAMILY:

Hello, I am writing this letter to share a little about my story. I am a single mother; I separated from my partner when my daughter was just six months old, as the relationship was not a healthy one. Today, he is not very involved in her life, but her paternal grandmother visits her often. We attend a church in Rosarito. I do not have a steady job because I want to spend as much time as possible with my daughter. We currently live in a borrowed house, but when I learned about Casas de Esperanza, I felt inspired to apply, hoping to be blessed with a home of our own — a place where my daughter can feel safe and grow up happy. Over a year ago, I purchased a piece of land that I’ve been gradually paying off. My greatest hope is to have a stable and loving place where my daughter can grow up in peace and security. I trust in God’s love and believe He has something beautiful planned for us. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter.
