Hello. We would like your help to build a home, where there isn't so much cold and so my son can have a place to live. Ever since he was born he has always had a cough. My house also leaks and lets in water.

Hopefully you can help us with a home. God is so big and we have a lot of faith. We have faith that everything will be okay. We would love a home for our son that we have not been able to give him. We have worked a lot for the little that we have. We want a place for our son to live that is warm.

Letter From the Family:

I, Justina Morgan Lucero, will tell you a little about my situation and why I have such a great need for a house. We have not been doing very well economically. We built a small room that hasn’t been finished, without a good roof. Since 2009, we’ve had leaks from every side and we’ve also been dealing with the severe weather for the past 7yrs. We are battling a lot here. My son was born here, and at the moment, it’s very difficult without work and so many needs. I was having someone make me a firm floor because we had only dirt, but we didn’t have enough money for the material or to make a good roof. Before we lived on our current property we rented for 6yrs and we had to come here with what we had, and now we don’t have enough to rent.

I hope that you can help us; I will be eternally grateful. In truth, I have many needs. My son is going to kindergarten, and my daughter, with lots of sacrifice, is going to University. She and I work, and my husband has become sick and is at home without a job. He takes our son to kindergarten and brings him home to watch him while I look for more work. I need help. Thank you.

I was obligated to return home, because of bad injuries. I also have a piece of land that still isn’t paid for. It’s my hope to build a safe house for my family. Right now, I am at a big disadvantage and the need to have a worthy home is pressing and urgent. My current salary is not enough to get a better house and my children need safety and a place of refuge from the constantly changing weather.

My wife and I know that everything is temporary, including the moments of anguish and struggle, and we believe that it’s necessary to grow and strengthen our faith in Christ. We know that He loves us and has never abandoned us, that He’s always there waiting for us, and that we should be faithful and persevere, trusting the gospel. My family and I are faithful to keep the commandments and for this, we hope to be blessed.

Thank you for helping us and for volunteering your service with love. We express our gratitude for your time and your effort, we know that it’s a big sacrifice of your time, and it’s much more than a favor for your neighbor. We love you and we wait with anticipation for your help.

Hello Homes of Hope, God bless your mission and bless your family, every single one of you.

Our reason for asking for a home is because we have been paying rent for 13 years and we have decided to buy our own land. We want our children to have a better life than we did growing up. We trust in God that he will have mercy on us as well as others who have needs. We ask that you help us to build our home.

With that I say good bye and I hope these words reach your heart. God bless you, amen.

My reason for the letter is because my heart would be so thankful if you could help me in building a home. We do not currently have the economic ability to build a home because my husband's weekly salary goes towards buying groceries, milk, diapers, and paying for electricity and water.

Before I got married my dad bought us the land we now own. The land is in my name and is paid for.

When we first got married, we started living with my in-laws but there were a lot of problems. We do not own anything. Everything is borrowed, all we own is our clothes. Now my father-in-law is asking for the house back because a few of his brothers want to live in the house.

I’m asking from my heart for your help in building our house for the future of my children. Tomorrow my children can live well knowing that they are in their own house.

I am 7 months pregnant and I don’t want my next baby to suffer. Truthfully and with my hand on my heart I ask for your help so that we are not suffering or fighting. I would be so thankful if you give me your support and help to build a house. God is going to bless you for you help.

I am very thankful. God bless you.

Letter From the Family:

A very warm greeting to all of you and may God bless you wherever you go and with all you do.

Well, I would like a home for my children more than anything. I separated from my husband four years ago because he was a drunkard. Every time he came home drunk I would run from the house with my children even in the early hours of the morning. I didn't have anywhere we could sleep and sometimes we would stay at my neighbors house. After a time, I just didn't go back to the house and I just took my children to live in an old abandoned house. We lived there for four years and my oldest son and I began to work but they came and told us we had to leave because we were living there with various other families. They told us where we were living wasn't valid and they gave us two months to find another place to live. My son and I saved enough money to pay the down payment for our land. We were given some material to build some walls to make a humble little home. When it rains the dirt floor gets very wet and the truth is I cannot build something better.

I am getting very tired of coming home tired and cold. I often ask myself how much longer I can live like this. Whether or not you can give me a house I am very thankful to you. My children are what keeps me going.

Thank you so much again. May God keep you and bless you.

Letter From the Family:

The true reason I want you to build me a home is because with what I make right now does not pay for all our expenses. And I am tired of moving from one place to another, before we used to rent, when I lived with the father of my children and when we left it became very difficult and even in just one month we had to move three times. One reason was because the father of my children drank and it was very difficult to be near him. After that place we moved to a new place but they asked me to move. Then I had to look for a place to live and work. Where we are now I feel more at peace but I am still paying rent.

My friend came to me and told me about how we could buy land and pay a down payment. Once I paid that and the first payment for my land, we went to live on our land, but it is very small. We didn't all fit my 3 children and I. We were very tight and all of my children's things were annoying because there was no space, it got worse when it rained because everything got wet. I had a few things outside and they got all wet as well as everything inside. I don't know how they made the roof, but I couldn't sleep and had to put tupperware under all of the leaks as the water was falling on the mattress where we slept. Half of our floor was mattress and the rest was just dirt. So when it rained it just became mud.

A friend was worried about us and she was telling us that her son could lend me a house and that we should talk to him. So now we live there in that house now. I make about $50 a week now as a seamstress and sometimes I watch my friends children and I make about $3 per child.

Two of my children are in middle school right now and the third wants to go to high school soon. Everything I make goes to buying food, school costs, and land payments. That is all, that you so much for taking your time in reading my letter. God bless you.

I am Nicolasa Rivera Gutierrez, in order to survive I go to the markets and sell second hand items. My children help me when they can and I also clean houses whenever I can.

I have four children, and the government gives me $13 for every child. I also make $38 selling things in the markets. If I get a chance to clean a house I make about $19-$38. Normally I receive at least $63 a week. Whatever I make I put towards paying my land payments, and rent. It is getting more and more difficult to pay everything each month and that is why I am asking for your help. If I don't sell a lot in the markets, it becomes very difficult to pay rent. It also becomes hard when we need to pay for school activities and supplies. I have four children in school, 1 is in high school, 1 is in middle school, and 2 are in elementary school. This is my situation since I lost my son and now I have to take care of my grandchildren. If you could help me, from my heart I would be so thankful to you.

Thank you so much, and if you cannot help me, I still thank you so much.

Sincerely, Nicolasa

Letter From the Family:

Hello,

My name is Rosario Orozco Toro. I am writing this letter to ask your for help. Where I am living now is my aunt's house. And it is hard to live with another family member, because little things become problems.

We got here a few months ago and my aunt said instead of paying rent we should jut start paying for a piece of land. My mom and I pay together for the land payments. The days that I work, my mom helps me by watching my daughter. And the days that I have off, she works. The days that she rests,  my mom bakes bread with my aunt to get some extra money. My mom and I both work in a factory so we can get insurance.

We had been trying to save up, when at work I heard a fellow employee mention that her neighbor just got her house built. She told us we should go and ask you for information. I got Naara's phone number and I was told she could help us and give us the information we need. It was hard for me to get into contact with you all, because I called and called but the call never went through. And then one day the call went through.

So, that is why I am please asking you for help. It isn't possible for us to go live on the land, because we don't have anything. We started digging the septic and, if we have to, we will do whatever we can to do so. Truly, from the bottom of my heart I ask for help, because we need it.

Thank you so much.

My name is Ernestina, and I am asking God and Youth With a Mission for help for my, my husband, and 3 grandchildren. My husband suffers from a deformation in his left occipital lobe which causes him headaches and convulsions. But, thank the Lord, his treatment has helped him some, because his convulsions haven't come back for the past 3 years. He will just get his sudden headaches. I have diabetes and high blood pressure. Some times I feel fine, but other times I am too tired and cannot work very much.

Everything was going well, but 6 months ago the owner of where we live asked for us to leave the house. His sister in law is moving in so we have to go. I have looked for houses but all the rent is too high with taking care of my 3 grand kids too. The oldest is my son's daughter. She lived with him until he started getting into drugs, then he left her with us. And the two younger are from my daughter who left with her boyfriend and didn't want us to call attention to the wrong she was doing and left her girls with us.

We ask from the bottom of hearts for this help. I am 55 and my husband is 53; sometimes I think we haven't done anything in our life but we have been given this opportunity. And we believe that God can bless us and give us the house that we have dreamed about. We would be so thankful with God and you all.

Thank you so much!
